The Eye of Revelation

There are more things in the great expanse of space than just the planets and zodiac signs which play an influence on our lives – the stars beyond our own sun do, as well. If we know about the energies these stars carry, we can tap into them to guide and assist our own lives. The study of the stars and their effect on humanity is ancient, fascinating, and an area of astrological study that is often overlooked… but can be incredibly powerful. Let’s begin our look at the stars by considering Aldebaran, often called “The Eye of Revelation”:

Attributed to the Archangel Michael, Aldebaran is the great “Watcher of the East,” and is one of four Royal Persian Stars, offering a path to true success… as long as you keep your integrity. It is the “bull’s eye” of Taurus, which can focus on the truth and demand it of you and others.

Taurus the bull forms a truly stunning group of stars, with the constellation of Orion (Osiris) and the Isis star Sirius being the brightest in the sky. It’s clear why they were recognized by the ancients. (They were known in Egypt as the sacred “Duat.”)

In fact, Dr. Michael Rappenglueck discovered that the beautiful cave paintings at Lascaux in France, dating back 17,000 years, have a painting of an Auroch – a bull of that time that is now extinct. The dots/stars that form the Auroch’s face would also form the Hyades, or face and horns of the great bull Taurus of our current sky mythology. What we call the Pleiades in the shoulder of the bull appears as similar dots, or star asterisms, above the shoulder of the Auroch/bull.

Then, in the appropriate place to match the sky are 4 dots in a line that would be Orion’s belt. Only one of the “stars” is no longer visible. This is even more intriguing, as stars fade, burn out, or become “super novas” and disappear. In any case, this seems to indicate that these images in the sky are deeply “burned” into our common consciousness with our fellow man, including our ancient ancestors – something very powerful in our charts.

If you are conscious of these energies that flow through humanity, you can utilize them within yourself. Given the power of stars, you may want to be certain to what degree you want to “live” the myth.

The bull has been associated with many resurrection gods in a number of cultures, including Zeus/Jupiter. It is particularly notable in the ancient Minoan culture with the Minotaur (a terrifying bull in the labyrinth below Knossos – a site that has been reconstructed and is now in a museum). This was essentially a goddess culture that thrived on Crete and Thera/Santorini until that volcanic island had a cataclysmic eruption around 1628 BC. These glorious people were predominantly traders rather than warriors, with a very rich and artistic culture.

Aldebaran reflects this very regal form of the ancient bull through high social, cultural and artistic achievements, and naturally “inherits” this in your being. Even if Aldebaran is challenged regarding integrity, you can be “reborn” and rise again.

Celebrity Examples: Heliacal Rising – Prince William, Princess Diana, Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, and troubled genius John Nash. Prominent – Anna Paquin, Lindsay Lohan, Natalie Portman, and Angelina Jolie.

Thanks for the kind words…Yes, the study of the stars is quite ancient. Our modern Western astrology practice of focusing on the Sun, Moon and planets and just the Zodiac signs is realitively knew. It’s a fabulous place to start, as the relative motion from these “sky gods” does show “where the action is!” Great for forecasting, etc. Then there are all of the rich, powerful energies that we can “tap into” beyond the zodiac, like our wonderful psychics do.

I join in with the group “hug and blessings!”
