3 Intuitives, 1 Profound Message

My connection to the other side

by Heidi Kentwood

My brother passed away. I miss him, I feel as if he's with me, and there are questions on my mind I've needed to put to rest. A reading with a Medium, someone who could contact him directly was my choice - and then I thought, why not ask more than one Medium to connect with him. Each tuned into different aspects of my brother, but in the end, amazingly, the message was the same.

"If you see raccoons in your dreams it means your brother is telling you to finish what you've started. It's a type of a Native American symbol," BlackHawk ext. 9353 said.

After my call, I performed some light research on the topic. Apparently, in Shamanistic rituals, the mask transforms the individual into some other entity imbued with special powers. Hidden behind the mask, the wearer can easily believe that he or she can do things they wouldn't usually do.

Though a fascinating revelation, I noted that I was being plagued by another dream symbol from the rodent family. For years, I've harbored a huge rat phobia. Blackhawk said it's a sign of "feeling dirty and unloved," and advised me to clean up my "emotional crap and physical abuse from childhood." I was rather surprised by that tidbit…I rarely speak of it. Then the reading turned back to my brother.

"He doesn't want you to focus on how he died, he wants you to live, and be happy," Blackhawk assured me. This is something I had felt in my gut for years after my brother took his own life. Though I can intellectually accept what BlackHawk said, the emotional process truly takes its time and toll. When he added that my brother will do some automatic writing with me, I was excited at the prospect. "By the way, he'll manipulate the TV and the radio when he wants to let you know he's around." Funny, my cable box has been on the fritz lately...each time I turn the channel, it takes me to one out of sequence.

Psychic Rondalafay ext. 5102 conveyed a similar message with a twist. "He plays with the TV and radio volume and burns out light bulbs a lot. He also leaves coins, hides your keys… little things to show he's there." I hadn't been aware of any of this, and thought as much when Rondalafay continued before I could speak. "These are things he intends to do. He wanted you to know to expect them first." Makes sense, I agreed.

Almost the same words were uttered by Tierney ext. 5230. "Your brother leaves you dimes in the dryer and on the nightstand. When you're calm and meditate, he comes to you. He will be available to you when your energy calls for it." Tierney also mentioned other relatives who had passed, and remarked that it seemed there were more on the other side than alive. This is fact.

"Your grandparents on your mother's side are with you all the time. Your grandmother sits on the corner or your bed every night." I was comforted by this. Tierney stressed that my grandparents knew I signed on for some tough life lessons, and often took the path of the most resistance in life. She confirmed that my brother knew this, too.

"Make sure to watch your gas pedal. Your car is a bit unsafe." The day of my reading, I saw an article on a Toyota Prius recall. The mats on the driver's side tend to obscure the gas pedal and one Prius owner was in a fatal crash which sparked the recall. "Your brother's saying to be careful and that you'll probably get another car in January. Go with the darker color."

Interestingly, Rondalafay sensed how my brother passed. "I have a hard time breathing right now that he's around. Did he drown?" I confirmed that he had. Her reply was shocking, comforting, and emotionally draining at the same time. "Drowning is peaceful. The cold water hurts like heck, but after that it's very peaceful and warm. I had a near death experience and almost drowned," she revealed to me.

I have always wondered what my brother's last moments were like. I'd hoped he didn't suffer, that he left this world and entered the other seamlessly and painlessly.

I told Rondalafay that the only real sign I've had from my brother is the way my cat acts when I assume he's around. She gurgles and meows in a high pitched manner while running to and fro in a flurry, chasing what seems like nothing. She talks to what seems like no one. It's the only time that when I call her, she doesn't respond.

"Yes, he plays with the cat all the time. Pay more attention when he does and ask for a sign," Rondalafay added.

Now I have one more reason to look forward to going home tonight.
