The 35-year-old introduced herself by telling him that she worked on the gambling boats in the food and beverage industry of Indiana. There was an uncanny connection between them from the start - as BlackHawk had worked on the exact same boat a couple of years back. They even knew the same people and proceeded to swap stories.
What he didn't yet know is that about a year prior, Kassie had discovered that she had another sister, one who had been adopted at birth. A big reunion was arranged in order to properly welcome her into the family. Among the invited guests were Kassie's daughter and her oldest sister, Angela (not her real name). The celebration was to be held in the middle of December.
On that particular night, there was a horrendous ice storm. Yet Angela picked up Kassie's daughter as planned and headed to the reunion. Sadly, along the way she skidded on black ice and crashed into a big truck. She died instantly. Kassie's daughter suffered severe injuries to the head and fell into a coma. While Kassie had gained one sister, she had lost another. And, she was told her daughter would suffer permanent brain damage.
A year later, Kassie felt she needed to contact Angela. She'd tried a few psychics but was always left disappointed. Eventually, a friend of hers recommended BlackHawk so she called and desperately wanted to contact Angela.

It did. About a month prior, Kassie noticed that someone had taken the screws out of the remote control. She asked her husband, but it wasn't him. Now she knew it had been Angela, trying to show herself.
"I also got an image of a rose, but Kassie didn't know what that meant. Shortly after, we ended our call but before we said goodbye, I told her that her daughter would make a full recovery."
"How can that be?" Kassie exclaimed. "The doctor's told me she will have permanent brain damage."
"That is what the cards are revealing to me," he responded. They left it at that.
About a month later, BlackHawk received another phone call from Kassie. She reported that her daughter had undergone yet another surgery but was doing better than expected. She was now actively praying for a full recovery. And then, she mentioned the rose. At first BlackHawk didn't know what she was referring to. She told him that on Mother's Day, her mom had found a red rose lying in the middle of the road. She picked it up and wondered how it had gotten there since they lived in the country in an unpopulated area. Could it be that Angela had laid out a rose for her mother? BlackHawk confirmed that indeed this was the case.
"I reminded her that love is stronger than anything. We are always connected to the ones we love, even those on the other Side."
