Is it ever too late to follow your dreams? Even if you're an aspiring rocker, movie star, model, news anchor, doctor, lawyer or technology guru? You're not 18 anymore and you've just now decided to follow your passion. On top of it all, you want rich and famous to be right there in the mix. Do big time dreams have an expiration date?

Whatever your magnificent vision is about your future, whether you're super young or significantly aging, dreams are there for all of us to add purpose and meaning to our lives here on earth, according to our California Psychics. People of all ages enter new fields and find success, they say. Your vision of success may have to be revised a bit - but it can happen.

"Ultimately going into these endeavors with passion and drive is great, but you must also understand that this is a process beyond money and fame - it's about passion. You're going for it because this is your dream and a deep seated soul need… that's the first step to success," Mystic ext. 9213 states judiciously.

"Be enthusiastic about reaching your goal, yet be practical and grounded about your choices," says Meryl ext. 9376. One of her callers has been taking acting lessons, but often wonders whether she should pursue it further, as she fears what it takes to make it. Meryl, on the other hand, has seen in her readings that her caller will be a success. Because of those readings, the actress-in-training now has a fervent dream to succeed. "But at the same time, while she undergoes the training and study it takes to make the transition from advertising to acting, she is wisely (for now) holding on to her day job," tells Meryl.

Another client, the psychic tells, decided to try to make a living as an artist when he turned 40. During his first call, Meryl saw eventual financial prosperity for him. He persevered and was accepted by a San Francisco gallery just months ago. If he continues to sell his work at the same rate, the psychic adds, he is now predicting (on his own), that he will be a full time painter within a year or two - at the most.

Be willing to accept your goal without the riches and fame - our psychics concur. "Even if you never reach the likes of the top 40 charts or a best seller list, pursue your dream because you will be happy simply using your abilities and enjoying the experience," says Althea ext. 9582. "People of all ages are needed for commercial community theater, for instance, and for extra work in films. Hone your skill by starting out small and doing some productions for charity or in a church production. As your confidence builds you will feel prepared to go for larger roles."

"It's never too late to follow your heart," tells Debra ext. 9596. "I hear many stories of how people have gone to college and get degrees in their 90s. I am continuously counseling people to follow their dreams… the transition can be scary, but once a person has made the decision to follow their true calling their joy and success increases beyond their wildest dreams."

"If you are older and wiser use it to your advantage in whatever you do," adds Althea. Age and experience can be an asset as your perspective and knowledge can serve you well. The key to following your passion for lofty vocations is actually quite simple: Keep your day job and begin these endeavors as a way to make yourself happy. A life filled with regrets and wishes that never were launched is avoidable. Just give your dreams a shot no matter how slim the odds are. At least you will have tried - just like winning the lottery you have no chance at all if you never play. Plus, who knows… you may become the next big deal!

All of us who watch American Idol and Dancing With the Stars know that not all dreams are realistic… you may love the music, for example, but will never carry a tune even with the best instruction. If you don't consider your talent and the competition, you could lose time and money pursuing a career as a lead singer.
