"Understanding how we were connected to a particular place or person can be helpful in understanding our relationships in this lifetime," says astrologer Rainbow. "People contact me wanting to know why they cannot disentangle themselves from a bad relationship. As I look at the situation I can often see the karmic link. These karmic relationships can be our best friends or our worst enemies, because of the intensity of the bond we share with them. When they work well, no other relationship can be as fulfilling."
She adds, "When the karmic lesson is one of letting go, these relationships can be distressful because they are emotionally intense. If we accept that these karmic relationships travel with us from lifetime to lifetime, it can make situations such as bereavement or separation easier to deal with."

Past life connections
"I had a personal past life experience that lead to an emotional healing," says Phillip ext. 9485. "A fellow hypnotist did a regression on me and I saw myself as a young native African boy. I knew it was the 1700s and I was to be initiated as a hunter on that day. I was sent out of my village alone with a bow and arrow, to return by sunset with a dead baboon. I saw myself face to face with my prey. I had lifted my bow to shoot and we made eye contact. I could not shoot the animal. When I returned to my village empty-handed, no one would acknowledge me - even my own family. I had caused them great shame. The next morning I left, never to return.
