Sure, losing a job, a love, getting into an accident, the death of a loved one, are all huge life crises, but sometimes seemingly unimportant things can turn on a fountain of upset putting you into disaster mode. Small stuff - like they didn't return your call or didn't make it home for dinner, or you locked yourself out of the house and burned the roast - can seem like a life crisis given your particular circumstances. "Whatever it is that has you feeling worthless, unloved, down on life… can be considered a crisis," says Meryl (ext. 9376), a clairvoyant and tarot reader. Whether the crisis is seemingly momentary or long-term, a minor emergency or a mind-bending moment of truth, Meryl can feel the answer as soon as she connects with a call.
Here's what she said:
Clients call every day so upset they can barely speak through their sobs and grief. I can begin to see how their particular life crisis will resolve as soon as we begin the call, so my first step is to help them understand that they will get through this life challenging situation. I help them see where they need to use their willpower, which is their psychic strength, to get through the disaster as well as where they'll need to make an effort along the way.
I like to say that I pull my clients back to earth in order to help them address their crisis. To transition them from the emotional to the practical, I listen to them and encourage them, because I can see (as a psychic) how things will work out.
To get through a life crisis successfully, work through your emotions by getting your story out to those in your life who are loving, understanding and have the ability to listen to your pain. If they can give you some emotional strokes that's even better. If they can't, then it's up to you to ask for those strokes. ("Remind me that I'm strong. Please, assure me I will get through this.") Or, give yourself affirmations to help strengthen your resolve. Even simple statements like "I'm strong, or I can do this" are enough to start.
If you have to tell your story over and over for a while and you feel you've worn out friends or family, call a psychic or your spiritual counselor or a therapist - anyone who will listen to you professionally.
Once you've opened up and can see through the tears, you can pick yourself up and make a plan as to what you need to do to get through the crisis. What is it exactly that is upsetting you? Think your circumstances through, every little and big step of the way. How will I get through this? If you lost your job, make a list of everything you'll need to do to replace it or get an even better one.
Take the time to center and heal yourself. Try calming exercises like breathing, meditation, yoga, massage, or self expression projects like art or journaling. I find when people take the time to stop and look within, their crisis resolves more easily.
