Have you ever woken from a dream wondering if it was foreshadowing? Thought about someone only to have them call or email? Had a gut feeling that something was going to happen and then it did? Here, they share stories of how they knew they were psychic, how they receive their information and how you can do the same. After all, many psychics agree that we've all got the gift to a certain extent - we just have to learn how to use it!
Keep a psychic log
Lucrecia (ext. 9326) says "the important thing to do when you think you see something (related to the metaphysical realm) is to write it down." Her visions have come from a variety of places including pictures in her mind, dreams and feelings prompted by inanimate objects like a pen dropping or a sudden noise that jolts her mind. She says she sometimes communicates with animals and even hears messages in the wind and rain.
"I guess what I'm attempting to say, is that I communicate with all things," she writes. "And in turn all things communicate back. After many years of living as a recluse in the hills of New Mexico, I learned to listen.... It was frightening at first. But it was this most important period in regard to opening my psychic door fully!"
Release your ego
Liam (ext. 9290) agrees that enhancing your psychic ability is about getting out of yourself and into the energy. Although he writes that "there are very few people who will ultimately have the fortitude to become a true oracle or psychic," he believes that many are blessed with basic intuitive abilities, and the key to enhancing those abilities is "eradicating the ego."
"Channeling information is a very powerful and intimate energy exchange," he writes. "Your own ego, your judgments, your opinions, cannot be brought into the (metaphysical) context." Likewise, Jill (ext. 9302) says the key to being psychic is connecting with the other. "Being psychic," she writes "essentially means being acutely intuitive and being able to "plug in" to others."
So, how do you learn to do that?
Practice makes psychic
According to Mystic (ext. 9213), the first thing to do is recognize that psychic ability is like a muscle. "Just like in sports, we must "exercise" the psychic "muscle" to keep in working and in good form," she writes. Like Lucrecia (and many of our other psychics), Mystic recommends that those who want to develop their talents take time out regularly to sit by themselves in silence. In addition to meditating in whatever way you take to, she also suggests familiarizing yourself with Tarot cards as they offer a window into your inner messages. And, if you're up for it, she says there are "games" on the computer for developing psychic ability.
Explore training methods
"Type develop psychic ability into a search engine and you'll get a lot of options," Mystic writes. "Explore them and see what's fun and interesting for you." These are all methods of psychic "training." But perhaps most important, once you've committed yourself to developing your psychic side, is what you do with the information that you receive.
"The most effective way to cultivate intuition," Marceea (ext. 9118) writes, "is to trust it and act on it."
